Fave footwear for Summer …

Like many women, we love fashion. Not in a ‘buy anything off a Valentino runway show’ kind of way, but in a ‘we love anything that looks good on real women and almost fits into the budget’ way. You know the sort; classic, well-cut, well-made, good price, doesn’t make my bum look big in it … Fashion for ‘real women’ – not Posh Spice.

[ED'S NOTE: The term real women' refers to women generally over 30 years old with a butt, possibly boobs, but also women with butts and no boobs, cellulite, a stomach that may or may not look good in a two-piece bikini, flabby arms (aka bat wings), fat knees (Alli!) and a good dose of wobbly bits … a REAL woman.]

Just in time for summer, I thought I’d share my FAVE on the footwear front.

Now take a good look at the image above. Now quickly look away from the Goddess-like creature (who is not necessarily deemed as a ‘real woman’ in our very jealous books – she’s stunning!) and check out her shoes. These are my absolute favourites – jelly sandals made by  Noosa-based company Holster Fashion … they are so, so comfortable.

We both have a few pairs in our cupboards and they have seen me through many an overseas holiday (Bali and Europe) as they are perfect for site-seeing during the day or at the beach teamed with a summer dress and wide-brimmed hat.

Voila … add a fabulous frock and they are just as stylish at night for a romantic dinner at a five-star restaurant. Slip on a long maxi, a scarf that doubles as a wrap in case it gets cool, and your glamorous Holster jelly sandals (with bling). Glam! I am heading to Phuket on Christmas Day and the only shoes I will be packing will be my Holsters. Now that’s light travelling!

Time to put on my big girl panties, get back to work and stop daydreaming of holidays … much work to do still!
