Time to wipe away the tears, embrace the change and unveil my plans!

In case you missed the big A&G news, yesterday Genine announced that she will be relocating to Melbourne and leaving Alli & Genine. You can check out her blog here.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t shocked. And devastated. Of course I cried. A lot. It’s what I do. It all happened very quickly and it took me a few days to come to terms with the news and what it meant for the future. But ultimately Genine has to do what’s right for her family, and of course I wish them all the best of luck as they embark on their next exciting chapter down in Melbourne. We have been through so much together, on so many levels, and it will be strange to be an A without a G for a while. Sad face.

So, what’s next? Well, the good news is that I’m sticking around! You’re not getting rid of me that easily. I have worked far too hard for far too long to walk away from this amazing ride. I have met so many phenomenal people, and I want to continue to make a difference in the lives of women (okay, and blokes) just like me. Women who are flawed, women with issues, women who are at times lost and looking for guidance (and a big old glass of wine), women who just need a helping hand – and a good belly laugh.

Not only am I sticking around, but I am planning to ramp this baby up a notch. But for this I will need your help, as I don’t really like to play alone … I like the company of friends. Will you help me? Of course you will! That’s what friends are for, right?

Starting today, I will be embracing a new brand … Alli & Co. “Co” as in company, but not just the businesses and brands that will sit under this umbrella. No, the “Co” for me is more about the company I keep. Alli & Co is actually about all of you! I need you all to be the “Co” in my new world, and to keep me company along the way. Okay?

I see my role as a facilitator – to connect you all to other inspiring women who can help you sort your issues (and give you a giggle). I plan to surround myself with the most awesome women in the business. But I also want to be your friend. Your story teller. Your hand holder. I want to make you laugh and cry (in a good way). I want to take you on a journey and celebrate with you with high fives and copious amounts of wine when you make it through. I want to help you personally with those issues that keep you awake at night. I want to help you professionally with some good, solid marketing and business advice and accountability.

So, I ask that you bear with me as I work through this transition period, as I finalise what the new world will look and feel like (it’s almost there!). I may need the occasional cyber hug. I will certainly need the odd “Get your big girl’s panties on, Alli!” reminder. And I will need your love, trust and support.

I can promise you all that what will come next will be significant. Because as Oprah says, “Don’t worry about being successful, worry about being significant and the success will naturally follow”. Clever chick that Oprah!

So what can you expect from Alli & Co?

I’ll be kicking off with the launch of Issues … BEGONE – an online and real world coaching business designed to support women in life and in business, on so many levels. And the first cab off the rank? A six-month program designed to help “Get your swagger on – in life and in business”. It’s going to be a stack of fun, and you’ll learn soooo much  – and it will be priced so even the smallest business can afford to play. It’s really important to me that I can help you lovely ladies when you need it the most, and often that’s when you can least afford it. AND I will be calling on my super smart friends to help. (Email alli@alliandgenine.com if you want to be on the launch list for Issues … BEGONE as we will only be taking 25 lovely ladies.)

Then there’s the Big Girl’s Panties Wine –  it will keep on keeping on, big time. I am 100 per cent committed to supporting women’s charities through the Big Girl’s Panties brand. Lots of exciting things happening.

Will you drink wine for me? And with me? Of course you will. That’s what friends are for! Stay tuned – the formal launch is to come.

I know what you’re all thinking … that’s all the business stuff, what about the “Genine” – the radio show, events, public speaking and the books – the “issues” stuff? It’s a big question as you can’t fill those shoes with any old Mary, Sue or Liz.

I will definitely be on the lookout for someone who is as equally committed to supporting women through their “issues” – someone who is passionate about public speaking, who loves chatting on the wireless, and who is a confident writer. Someone who is authentic to their core and isn’t afraid to be real, raw and honest about their flaws and issues.

I know she’s out there. In fact, auditions are to come. If you can think of someone who could fill Genine’s shoes, drop me a line at alli@alliandgenine.com.

Obviously rebranding (and getting my head around the Alli & Co new world order – like new website etc) will take a little while, so please bear with me. I’m in this for the long haul, so if you promise to stick around, I promise to support, inspire and entertain you all in the days, weeks, months and years to come, with a big serving of issues on the side. (Note to the universe – enough issues, already!)

Big girl’s panties are officially on and are pulled up to my armpits. I’m ready.

It’s Alli & Co time!

Who’s with me?

you can do it.. big girl panties on and with the support of so many others you will be able to make the new changes you need to..
as for your new partner in crime – you will find someone that will join you , but remember they will never replace Genine as you both had an awesome connection that was the A&G – now the A&Co is a new venture with someone new :)

here’s to happy times with plenty of wine drinking and cyber love xx

Hell yeah!! The Big Girl’s Panties Bubbles are already chilled in the fridge. Give me 2 more weeks of detox and I’ll match it with killer cheese and nibbles :)

You’re amazing, you will rock this, and the right people will appear at the right time.
